All athletes need a weight training program, yet many fail to truly understand the importance of one. They may feel like what the point of having one is, and why they need one?

 

Well as a human being, they can do as they like, but that doesn’t mean that they will see any results. I know tons of people that attend the gym yet haven’t made any progress in years; they will probably never understand the concept. But if you want to become the best athlete that you can be, then you need to have a good weight training program.

 

There are so many free training programs available today at the click of a button, that all athletes should have access to some form of a program. Now this doesn’t mean that all the programs that one comes across will have any sort of merit or value. Actually the good majority of them will be completely useless to an athlete as it is a “one size fits all” program. Programs like that offer almost zero value to an athlete.

 

An athlete needs a training program that is made only for them. They need unique programming in order to see good results. I can guarantee you that a program that has been made only for the athlete will completely demolish a cookie cutter program in terms of progress. Now in terms of sucking, well I have my money on the cookie cutter. But seriously, a program meant only for will is capable of completely transforming you as an athlete. That is the truth.

 

Now having the program isn’t the only key to making results. You also must have dedication in order succeed. This is so important to athletic training, without it you will probably never see any decent results. There are tons of athletes out there that don’t put in the necessary work needed to make results, yet these are the same athletes complaining about a program not working. It is absolutely hilarious.

 

Another small factor that goes into your training is your nutrition. This isn’t very important as far as making results goes, but it is very important for your health. An athlete can and will make results even if his nutrition is shitty, but the present isn’t always the focus. Sometimes it is needed to focus on the long term, especially when it comes to health.
